About Us
We The Parents of Menomonee Falls was formed after we saw what was happening with our children during COVID-19 and the continuous attempts to keep our children masked. During the pandemic, we were able to see as parents what our kids were learning and we were disgusted at what we saw. So we decided to get together with some of the other parents who had the same concerns and We The Parents was formed.
This group is designed to provide important information to Menomonee Falls parents as it relates to the local education system policies, procedures and content. We will keep you up to date on how your children are being influenced and treated in our school system.
Accomplishments
In 2021 we worked diligently to get new school board members elected who would listen to parents concerns and do something about the growing problems in our schools. We were able to elect 3 new members of the school board.
Nina Christensen
Nina serves as the Vice President of the school board. Her term expires in April 2025. Nina and her family have lived in Menomonee Falls since 2009. Her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, currently attend Menomonee Falls High School. Nina was raised in California and graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a double major in Biology and Psychology. She entered professional school in Chicago, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. Nina's career path has led her to work at several Veterans Hospitals and medical facilities and own her practice. A couple years ago, Nina decided to slow down in her career to spend time with family and redirect her focus on volunteerism. Nina continues to provide patient care part-time and devotes a considerable amount of her time to volunteering for Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever (WAAGR), Dog2Dogtags, and TeamLiftInc. Nina has dedicated her life to being of service to others professionally and personally. She is committed to bringing that same commitment, compassion, and dedication to serving our community as a school board member.
Chris Stueland
Chris Stueland is currently a member of the school board. Her term expires in April 2025. Chris is public school educated and attended K-12th grade in Waterford, WI public schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of WI and her Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology at University of WI- Milwaukee. She has been working in the medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist for 26 years. Chris, her husband and three school age daughters have been residents of Menomonee Falls for approximately 16 years. Both she and her husband are from the midwest but moved to Arizona after the birth of their first daughter. After living in Arizona for two years, they quickly realized that they wanted to return to Wisconsin and its midwestern values. They chose Menomonee Falls because Chris’ mom’s family had roots here. She grew up listening to her mom’s fond stories about growing up in the Falls. They knew of the close knit community that Menomonee Falls held and wanted to embrace this village and all of its charms. Chris enjoys a sense of community wherever she goes and getting to know people of different backgrounds. She was a Girl Scout leader for 10 years and actively volunteers at schools in various activities/committees. Chris understands that Menomonee Falls has wonderful teachers and schools and that an excellent education is essential for our children’s future. She is committed to offering a fresh perspective while being a voice for the community on the school board.
Shelley Holzman
Shelley Holzman serves as the clerk of the school board. Her term expires in April 2025. Shelley has lived in Menomonee Falls with her family since 2007. Shelley is a full time professional, wife and mother to two children who attend Menomonee Falls Public Schools. It's critically important to Shelley that her children, along with yours, receive access to a high-quality education. Shelley attended public school (K-12) and graduated from Middleton High School, in Middleton, WI. Shelley attended Madison Area Technical College for two years with the intention of transferring to UW Madison to major in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. However, a surprising chronic case of seasonal allergies had her considering a new path. Shelley started working full time for a financial services firm in Madison, obtaining several financial services licenses (7, 9/10, 24 & 63). While working full time, Shelley continued to add professional designations, along with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Upper Iowa University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Shelley believes education is the key to success for kids and adults alike. The joy of learning is engrained in students early on - building blocks for a life long journey of learning.
We attend many of the School Board hearings to make sure our voices are heard and that we know what is happening in our schools. Even with electing new school board members, we understand that they alone will not be able to change everything. Much of what is being pushed comes from the DPI at the state level. We are working with some state legislators to help make our parental rights enshrined in Wisconsin law. Please understand that we are not partisan, we believe these issues are occurring across party lines and regardless of what the mainstream media wants everyone to think, this affects all parents and all children in every district across the state. We welcome any help from any political party. Please reach out to us if you have anything you want us to know or would like to work with us.
We have been blessed to work with many parents in the district. Many have been following us on Facebook and we are excited at have this new platform to be able to share more information without fear of it being removed if the social media censors don’t like what it says. We are welcoming new members every day and are excited that so many parents are getting more engaged in their children’s educations and futures. We are adding new features to the site as we are able and will be having a members only section that will allow users to sign up and sign in and be able to communicate with each other right on the platform. We will also be allowing comments for members only. We want to be able to start sending out a weekly newsletter as well to make sure we can share what is happening. If you would like to sign up to become a member, please click the button below to sign up.
Our Focus
We want to continue working to elect school board members who will do what is best for the students while maintaining the rights of parents to know what is being taught in our schools and to have input in what is taught and how it is taught. We will continue our work in exposing the radical ideology and agenda that is being pushed on our children. We will continue to educate other parents about what is happening in our schools and other schools across the nation. We will continue to push back against immoral and indoctrinating policies. We will work to get our children back to learning about reading, writing, and arithmetic instead of critical race theory and gender theory. We will continue to educate about the importance of Patriotism and the dangers of Socialism and Communism.

“The next time some academics tell you how important diversity is, ask how many Republicans there are in their sociology department.”
-Thomas Sowell
“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”
-Thomas Jefferson
What We Do
Our mission is to inform and educate parents about what is happening in our children’s schools. We work on making sure our children are shielded from harmful content and ideologies.
We educate and inform parents about current events and history that are relevant to understanding what is happening in schools today.
We want to make sure parents are equipped with the knowledge to be able to present to the school boards to make their case. We post relevant news articles, videos, podcasts, anything we find that is reliable information that we believe is important to know. We also want parents to have a broad understanding about the theories behind the agenda that is threatening our kids at school. Make sure to check out our “Be Informed” page to see more.
We attend school board meetings and speak to the school board to inform them of what is happening in the schools
The school board meeting schedule will be available on our website. We encourage everyone to attend and be informed. If you would like to speak at a meeting, you can email the school board and request to speak board@sdmfschools.org.
Sometimes the school board has no idea that certain things are happening in the schools. If we don’t inform them of what is happening, they can’t begin to change things.
We help to recruit and campaign for new school board members who are dedicated to making education about learning again
We want to make sure we have school board members who are willing to protect our children from harmful content and ideologies that are being shoved down our children’s throats on a daily basis. We must make sure there are board members who listen to parents and will act in the best interest of our children. We must make sure our board members are following true facts and not the “narrative”.
